Jacob Hummel

Jake is a User Experience Developer at Visual Logic. His primary role is bringing mockups to life by building web-based prototypes. He collaborates closely with designers and clients to bring a development perspective into the design process. One of the more rewarding aspects of his job is helping designers grow by providing insight into relevant concepts and standards.

Jake earned a Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering from Iowa State University. He is passionate about applying his knowledge of software to create new ideas and real products. In fact, you may run into him at the nearest Startup Weekend or hackathon.

Outside of work, Jake spends time gaming with his buddies and working on programming projects. He enjoys going to live shows and Broadway musicals. Occasionally, he finds himself in the heart of nature on a camping trip; he handles the grill and the black bears.
